About Me

I am Manuel Núñez, a software developer and math enthusiast. My passion for problem-solving has led me to focus both on teaching math olympiads and developing technological solutions. I entered the world of teaching thanks to my personal experience as an ex-math olympian, and these experiences greatly motivated me to dive into competitive programming. I firmly believe that a person who stops learning stops growing as an individual. I am dedicated to continuous learning and always strive to embrace new opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills.

📚 Mathematics and Teaching

I have spent years preparing students for math olympiads. I have worked as a coach at the Preparatoria Regional de Chapala and have been an organizer for the OMRCh. Additionally, I have designed problems and participated in high-level training events, including those for the OMRCh. My journey into teaching began after my personal experience as a math olympian, where I learned that the key to success lies in perseverance, creativity, and teamwork. These experiences not only shaped my understanding of mathematics but also sparked my passion for guiding others through this exciting and challenging field.

💻 Software Development

I work with Flask, PostgreSQL, Tailwind CSS, and Python. I have developed projects like OlimpiApp, a platform for managing math competitions. I have also created tools like PDF-Breaker to optimize repetitive tasks. As a software developer, I enjoy building systems that solve real problems and enhance productivity. I thrive on designing intuitive, user-friendly applications that make complex tasks simpler. One of my proudest accomplishments has been contributing to the development of OlimpiApp, a platform that has improved how math competitions are organized and managed. I am always eager to learn new technologies and methodologies that help streamline development processes and improve user experiences.

🏆 ICPC Team: Faith Limit Exceeded

I am passionate about competitive programming and I am part of the Faith Limit Exceeded team for ICPC. I enjoy solving complex problems under pressure and collaborating with my teammates to achieve excellent results. It’s a field that continually challenges me and fuels my desire to learn and improve. Competitive programming has taught me valuable lessons in efficiency, problem-solving, and teamwork, which I apply in all my projects. Working with my team, I’ve had the opportunity to face difficult challenges, optimize solutions, and come up with creative approaches to problems, all while working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

🤝 Experience and Teamwork

My experience includes participating in virtual reality educational projects with Aardvark. I excel in problem-solving, communication, and teamwork. Working on these projects has not only expanded my technical knowledge, but also helped me develop essential soft skills like leadership and collaboration. I have learned that effective teamwork is the key to success in large-scale projects, and that communication and coordination can make a huge difference in achieving goals. I believe that success is a shared achievement, and that every team member contributes unique strengths that complement one another. This mindset has helped me thrive in both technical and collaborative environments.

🚀 Interests and Future

I am interested in the intersection between mathematics and technology. I want to continue developing software for education and process optimization. My goal is to keep expanding my knowledge in these fields and use technology to create tools that benefit others. In the future, I see myself working on projects that combine my passion for math, education, and technology to improve how people learn and interact with the world around them. I am excited to continue working on projects that challenge me, improve my skills, and allow me to contribute to the community.

🌱 My Philosophy

Curiosity and competitiveness are two of the core pillars in my learning process. I firmly believe that a person who stops learning stops growing as an individual. While I may not be the most sociable, I understand the immense value of teamwork, as it enables us to accomplish things that are impossible for a single person. My philosophy is to stay adaptable, pursue continuous improvement, and embrace challenges as opportunities to learn and grow. In both personal and professional life, I strive to remain curious, competitive, and open to new perspectives, always seeking opportunities to expand my knowledge and capabilities.

"Quick Thinking, Agile Solutions" - A motto that reflects my approach to problem-solving and continuous learning.
